University of Portland Women's Self-Defense
In November of 2002, Sensei Miller and a number of instructors had the opportunity to teach a women's self-defense class at the University of Portland. The class was held in the Mehling Hall Auditorium and ran for three weeks. Over 30 women attended the 5 sessions of the class. The classes covered personal safety, awareness, and defenses against numerous attacks including grabs, strikes, and mugs. The classes were very successful and all of the students had a good time while learning valuable skills.
The next class is schedule for the early part of 2003.
